I picked up all my supplies and starting tomorrow. I'm going with the Geico theme. I can always change it up if I really wanted too, but I think I'll be happy with it. I'll post progress pictures as they happen!

WOW!!!! That is awesome!!!! In my head i came up with something very similar to that, not exactly but close, using lime green, purple, silver, and some red/orange pin stripes! Gives me a better idea of how i'm gonna do my Daytona hull!! Man, i can't stop looking at that pic, colors look amazing together!!!

This is a friend of mine MHZ cat, setup is two CC1520 Neu Castle 1600 KV, 2 x 6S 5000mah. We bought CC1717 and CC1520 when those motors were discontinued anounced. If I remember I paid 70 US$ for CC1717

                That would be neat.
Not sure where you got the geico decals but if they are the clear one be warned if you don't clear over them they will get dirty and start to darken over time ask hydrojerry.

I say scrap the geico theme sell the decals and go with Stig theme.
Keep the boat white and you could put top gear logo on the sides and stig on the deck.
Save you hassle of having to paint and have your own custom theme.

                  Mudded up

                  Sanded and primed

Wet sanding in about 40 minutes, then laying some color shortly after.

Yeah i agree with Jeff,,, dont use the Proboat MG stickers in time they change color and they stain the hull with a darker shade outline and youll never realy get it off if you decide to change it later, i remove all mine on my MG to replace them with some Jeff made for me and the look more realistic but my original decals stained the hull but Jeff's coverd most of it so it's not noticable.. PS the ones Jeff made me also fit my Twin carbon Daytona fine too..

It was to smooth out the seem perfectly. 95% of it gets sanded away.

Thanks. I have been trying to figure out if I wanted to buy a Genesis or apparition. Then if I wanted to build a twin Genesis, now I see your Daytona hull. Is there any advantages of this hull over the Genesis?

Color and 1/2 the decals are done. It's not exactly shiny because I wet sanded with 1200 before putting the decals on. Still waiting on a window and a few small FC logos from Ben. I have the hatch and turbine decals from Jeff that will go on as well. Not sure if I will bring this back to school to finish or just wait untill Xmas break (Dec 16) to finish. I'm leaning towards just waiting because I'll be pretty busy the next 3 weeks.

I know I know, just another Geico themed boat. To be honest, I really like the way it's coming along.

it really does look good Chris. Even tho its geico, its not green. The silver looks reeeaaallllyyyy good!!!!! I think you need to change all your cooling lines to blue now

Thanks! I actually think the orange will match and look pretty sweet, the gekko has orange on her head/body. We'll see lol.

Any trick to getting the cooling line back on the transom fitting for when it all goes back together? I took the line off first, then used a socket/extension to get the nut off. I was just going to install in reverse order, I'm just worried about getting the line back on once it's in.
