Chris, id recommend not running to the lvc. Time your runs and always try to. Bring it in before it kicks in. Your batteries will thank you. I've noticed a huge difference in the life of my batts since doing so.

Also, you should see a bit of gain in the cnc props. Not necessarily because they may be sharper, but they don't flex under load.

I'm actually happy with the rudder and even more surprised with how my ProBoat servo handled. The turning took some getting used to because of the pointed ride pads compared to my old MG's flat pads. I messed around with the dual rate settings and got it to were I was comforatable. I did 2 mock race runs on Sunday and was getting very consistant runs. I'm not a racer, nor is my boat really built for it. So I may not be a very reliable source for that information.
To me, this boat feels like it has a sweet spot in the turns. Find it, it's fast....push it too far, it'll bite your leg off. My old MG was more forgiving in that respect. But I like the Daytona SOOOOO much better.

I'm glad your enjoying it chris. The hull does handle I think really well when your sport running, especially by yourself. Its race water that starts to cause havoc and you'll start hooking now and again. What I learned when I had mine, if you get off the throttle during a turn you'd have more a chance of hooking than if you just power thru it.. but when it does hook, 90 percent of the time end ends with the prop n the air, so make sure you have some type of recovery w you. Can't wait to see some vids

Yea I couldn't be happier with it's handling honestly. I have a cheapo recovery boat and a fishing rod with me at all times lol.

Looks like I will be painting the boat myself. For a retired guy, Grandad does an awful lot of work lol. He just finished an old Jag (thought I might sneek the boat into that window) but he's already started on the next project. I'm still going for my Gulf theme and will get started during Christmas break (about 3 weeks away).

For color, the closest thing I could find is Krylon Indoor/Outdoor paint (from what I can find it is Lacquer). Colors will be Blue Ocean Breeze and Pumpkin Orange. Going to use Duplicolor white primer and premium lacquer clear as well.

Nevermind then lol. I may have to change my color scheme then.

My back up plan was the Cintron or Geico Mystics...

I think I'm just going to do the Cintron or Geico scheme. It's harder to mess up a solid color too lol.

I dunno Chris, that scheme you were going to do would have been the cats meow and pretty easy to do. Duplicolor it and call it done. OR Rustoleum enamel works very well... but Im not sure if they offer the colors your looking for. Duplicolor for sure will have something close. id stick w/ your original plan.

                      Geico theme is overdone.

Duplicolor didn't have anything close to the colors I needed unfortunetly. You're going to hate me but I just got Geico decals lol. I'm going to run the boat either tomorrow or Wednesday, then body work/prime/color will be laid this week. It will sit for 3 weeks until Xmas break, then it'll be decaled and cleared.

I like the Geico race team the best actually. I don't know anybody else with a Geico so I think I'll be ok. Not to mention mine will have all the turbine stuff I got from Jeff. I think she'll stand out just because of that, plus being 8" longer

EDIT: I shoulda just painted it for you.

For twin setups you can order a set of 2 props L+R with any size and that' s cool.

Gimp, make tests with Graupner carbob K serie propellers and when you find the right size, buy Octura or Prather props. I should try a Graupner K51
