Tiqueman, I was trying to decide where and how to mount the steering servo and was looking at that particular servo mount at OSE, but was worried there might be clearance problems with the hatch, just eye-balling it basically. Guess you took care of that issue for me lol, looks like the servo/mount fits just fine! Did you epoxy the mount down? Standard servo enough umph for this cat? Thanks, basically i want to copy the build/set-up of Gimps over to my build, looks like you know what you are doing!Originally posted by tiqueman View PostPics moments before she got boxed...

Yeah for my first build it came out well
Yes its epoxied down, but GIMP PAY ATTENTION, the adjustable side of it, the screws are loctited in just barely snug and I was careful not to let epoxy get in the "tracks" so that the side remains adjustable for different servo widths.
standard servo as in size? yes it will be fine, just get one w/ a decent amount of torque. I wouldnt doa $10.00 FUT 3003.. although, Ive run one in a BJ w/ no issues. It really depends on what your doing with it. Most of my servos are the HItec ones OSE sells. And out of that, most are the low pro.

Cool, yeah i meant standard size and standard torque, but i guess i'll grab a high-torque servo instead. Is that mount in Gimp boat for a standard size servo or a low-pro, or does it matter? I see that mount comes in small, standard, and large sizes.Originally posted by tiqueman View PostYeah for my first build it came out well

Thanks for the heads up Scott. Check Mate, this boat will more than likely be getting a Hitec 645MG servo soon.
