Got her out from the paint booth today and back home. Now to connect a few cooling lines back and put some hardware back on. Then wait for a nice day to run.

The clear is super shinny too.

I will be doing the second test run on this boat very soon. Just waiting for the 100+ temps to die down here in TN.
I had to replace the motor collets. And still may need to make new flex cables.

I am a bit concerned with the weight vs flotation of this boat if it were to take on water quickly. After all this work building it I would be really upset to see it sink after an accident.

I think i am going to take the esc's out and simulate their weight along with the battery weights and sink it in the bath tub to see if it will still float full of water before the 2nd run.

                  Any update on this?

                  Justin,

Just curious if you got any GPS reading from this beast? It is one sweet boat man!! You do exceptional work!

I'm just getting into catamarans and am having a blast with the one I have so far. (34" Segad on 4S - 63mph)

I still haven't splashed her all year this season. I haven't run any of my boats this year. So this one still needs to be run to see where she will go top end. Only been one test run since I've built it. And that was on the small props.
I've been so busy with work and amateur radio this hobby took a back seat. I hope to run at least once this year before its too cold. Maybe I should just lay out of work one day and go have some fun lol.

Your boat sounds sweet btw, nice job.

Well after a couple years I finally got around to the 2nd splash test of this build. Here is a photo and some video I shot yesterday of the run. Found my lipos are bad after sitting so I'll need to order some more. Then make a couple adjustments and see what happens on a calm glass water day for top out.
Had fun/terror using the phantom to record this. Dubbed in audio from my phones recording of the run so you can hear the boat. Otherwise all you'd hear is 4 props from the quad running. Terror part was letting the drone hover over open water then start driving the boat while watching the quad to make sure it didn't go for a swim.

No I didn't use a gps this time. It was one of those days that I didn't have to work during the week. So it was kind of hurry up and get to the lake before I have to pickup kids at school. I couldn't hold full throttle for more than maybe 2 seconds at a time. I'm going to try battery placement for weight distribution next. If that don't help adjust the stingers a little.

How in the world did you pilot the quad and drive the boat at the same time???? Tutorial please!
Too many boats, not enough time...
