32" FC Rivercat build with twins project

Either one will work. Put a piece of 7/32 into the 1/4 inside the boat. Will help reduce grease sling and help the shaft run more tru to the motor. Its how I set my df up and I like it a lot.

I used .187 flex and 1/4 tube and feels ok but will test it tomorrow and trust me i no the feeling of being over the build,, i almost gave up on mine!!!!!

Yeah. I can't quit cold turkey. I still bent & put in the new stuffing tubes. I'm making wood brace for the ends now.

I'm going to make some dome shaped things in the canopy to accommodate the water outlets on motor cans.

Since I positioned my motors in such an angle to reduce bends in stuffing it tubes. It puts my cooling jackets outlets just a little above the canopy line. So I made some holes for the water nipples to fit though. Then made some domes on the canopy to accommodate them.

Yeah, I know. But im hoping that it will go up and over that edge. Might try some on it and see if I need to shape it a little different

Why couldn't you have just rotated the jacket a little bit???

If I did that the outlet would be more sideways on the can. And I was worried that would cause a area of air to form inside the can that could cause a hotspots on the motors.

I know what you're saying. And other people have said that as well. But I have a hardtime beleiving even if both inlet and outlet was down that the jacket is not always full. As hard as water pushes in I don't see it getting out as quickly. 99% of my boats do not have the exiting nipple straight up and I've never had any heat problems. Just fyi. You would have been fine.

lol hindsight 20/20. Guess I can always rotate cans and sand the domes off and fix it.

But if you want to run them like that you could do like me and go to the autoparts store like autozone and go to the section with all the little hopup stuff and get some window washer squirter covers like i used!!!!

You know Jerry I really like how those look on your CF hull. I was going to use your idea on my CF daytona when I do it.

No worries, your still doin a great job and more importantly, you're ability to problem solve is there. You will use that a lot on custom builds when you have an "oh crap" moment.

I had soldered the last of my 5.5mm bullets on the motors and esc's. couple of the plugs felt loose. So I tried to slightly bend the tabs out to get a fit thats more sung. And on two of the motor male bullets one of the tabs broke off . So I just ordered about 20 6mm bullets and 24 8mm bullets. I should be good for a while again.
