The paint must really pop in the sunlight. Beautiful boat.

I've been snooping around this thread for a while waiting for a vid

Well done sir. Looks like she runs great. Where are you keeping all these monsters? You're gonna need a hanger soon!

        Thanks everyone!

I need some minor trim tab adjustments as well as to remember to turn my steering rate down.........i was running my Pursuit earlier and had the rate at 100%......didnt want to adjust it while running, should make the corners much smoother.

The paint does POP..........pictures dont do it justice at all.

Keith, i am the proud owner of the "Mystery Machine" as folks here call it..........ya know, the van from scooby doo. It's an '84 VW Vanagon and it functions only as my boat hauler and has LOTS of room to get everything to the lake..............when things are home they are downstairs occupying 1/3 of our great room.......wife loves it

Cant wait to get you guys some full throttle vid......with GPS.

Here's pics of the boat in the "Van" with Big red, and next to Stringfly's Pursuit to show a size comparison to a 32" mono. Data log posted as well from the Castle ICE 200hv. Max watts were 8113, amp spikes over 200 and a bevy of other readings that i dont find real useful at the moment so i disabled them on the graph.

The middle of the graph is when i first put her out and she was WAY wet..........took her right in and moved tabs up a good bit. The vid run is at the far right, i have to clear the logger out every time i make a fresh run or it will keep showing the whole history.

            GPS run..............

Ran very well, i dont see a problem hitting higher speeds based on the solid ride and attitude of "Big blue".

Water was just some small chop and there was a bit of wind even at 8am.

The one bonehead move was to not run it with 100% throttle trim. I always trim back when plugging up as to not get the prop going right on power-up. I guess i was excited, checked trim after the run when i thought about it, it was at about 90%, i dont have a digital LED, just a knob, but straight up and down is 100%............

I bet i can squeeze at least another 6-10 mph out of her with correct claibration and a bit larger/higher pitch prop as temps were only warm all around.

Good long sprint is at 1:30 of vid..........

            GPS reading at end.

I have to say your's looks a lot more solid at speed than mine does. Good run and you have now officially hit 60. A little more tweaking and you'll be doing 65+

Thanks Bill.................you did read the part about the throttle deal didnt you? Should be good for 4 or 5 there. Our boats are a neat comparison cuz you hit 65 on an x465 and 9s i believe.............mine should have been good for about the same on 10s with the 457.

Yep I read the throttle trim part. That comes under the heading of "more tweaking". For short runs you could probably get away with a 465 even on 10s. The only thing that got hot on mine with the 9 lap GPS run was the esc caps and have a feeling that a lot of the heat there was from running so much partial throttle.

                              Here's some good data!

OK, the Castlelink system works great by the way. It has 8 or so different parameters to set and record data from.

To get an accurate rpm reading you must set the poles and KV as shown in the first two pics below.

The last two show an exact moment in time as you hover your mouse over a particular part of the run.

                              4th pic
Peak rpms from the run, 27,284....loaded!
Watts at that exact moment was 7,774 = 10hp!
Amp draw at that moment was 210.
Voltage at that moment was 37.0 (nominal 10s voltage.........cool)

                              3rd pic
                              Rpm's 25,795
Watts 8288 (peak for the run.......10.5hp?)
                              Amp draw 215
                              Voltage 38.58

The ESC came in just warm and i am very satisfied with it........

P.S. - I have programmed to allow reverse at a 10% max output and did use it once!
