Wow, you are productive...at least compared to me.
Out of 5 boats to get ready by mid-March, I am finished with only 1...my Spec SV from last year.
I am really into this build. It's really unique in so many ways...the hull, the hardware, the configuration. You gotta have video of the maiden voyage!

      Done

This ones done. I did the finish work this morning. I wired up the lvc and s-bec to commen 3mm plugs and mounted them as a single removable unit. I went with the jeti esc due to the space. The rchydros will go in the runner. I remembered my flotation this time. It looks like I may have to trim the strut bracket about a half inch if it interfears with the prop. The rudders still need to be perfectly alined. I will be in the water and recording by mid morning tomorrow. I don't have enough connectors to convert my dpr but I will have the gps. I'll get to the dpr next week. Up next is the bud hydro. I ordered new factory HW from horizon. It will be here tomorrow. All I need now are my decals from Tim and this one will be completely finished.YeeHaa

& the thread goes on. Ok so the Wolf and I have worked out some mods to the hardware. It's not a matter of the HW being wrong. It's that I asked for the wrong thing. So now the rudder standoffs are being removed. In their place will be shortend composite plates with ajustment options. We have elected to remove quite a bit of weight from the base plate also. I think this will get the stern out of the water and unload the prop quite a bit. I should be back to work on her in 2 weeks. By then the plett will be here.

It's really a a requirement on my part for everthing I setup. I know if it don't or I can't make it look clean I won't bother keeping it.
                Thanks Douggie

Sometimes you just have to say "F" it. When I am done with this stern mod it won't be a matter of what HW can I make work. It will be picking what I want to install. I am shoping for it now. I want this mod done by the end of the week. Wish me luck.

                    Oh dear !
Don't look now but there's a big hole in the back of your boat !!!!
I have ordered a pair of Aquajet nylon rudders and brackets for my Rio, only $9 each from OSE. Yeah I know I'm cheap.
I think they will look quite scale and being black they look a bit like a pair of stern drives, if you use your imagination.
                    Keep up the good work.

The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

I'm guessing your building a stand off bracket with a flat back am I close

Very but not off "in". The hull is so narrow and long stand off's are not a good idea. I only want the strut off an inch max.

Tie that boat to a tree and shoot it

Im just kidding, i do the same thing. I spend 10 hours on a 10 minute build and it ends up in the garbage anyway!

Every just want to cut out the BS? Try is some time it relieves alot of stress. The stern is @ a 90 now. It's set up in DC and cureing for the night. After some sanding and a couple brackets to sure it up the HW install will be a total snap .
