Here are more pics from the factory production line. About 40 workers total with a 30-40 electric boat production a day. I was told they are working out just how products can potentially be sold factory direct and a web site with details will soon be posted. Unfortunately do not expect factory direct pricing to be necessarily less expensive than HobbyKing................which is another story in itself. Actually the HK based Hobby King site is blocked in China. Something to think about.

I think HK is "dumping" with subsidies. Curious to know more of what you have learned.FighterCatRacing Team CHING BLING - Ching Bling. Brilliant, Advanced Sparkle for your hull.

You're thinking is on the right track. I will try to share a bit of WHAT HAS BEEN TOLD TO ME. This is not necessarily my opinion just iformation passed along by several of my long term China friends and technical contacts.Originally posted by FighterCat57 View PostI think HK is "dumping" with subsidies. First, it would appear that buying factory direct would be at least a bit cheaper than through a distributor............in this case HobbyKing, etc. It is certainly NOT the case and you can usderstand it by putting your self into the "shoes of the factory". Say your factory is producing FE boats and orders come in at $1000 to $2000 each. Suddenly, someone comes in with a $50,000 certified cashiers check and says they want to work with you. As an owner of a small show what do you think your reaction would be? It the short run they make out great but in the long run their prices are driven down so much it is almost impossible to sell to anyone else. Essentially "Big Brother" owns you.
These people have become my friends so the boats I purchased I actually paid MORE that I would have thru HobbyKing! But also please remember, I did ot get the cheap 50Amp no-mane ESC but a great Seaking 90A watercooled ESC. I got carbon fiber motor mounts and turn fins, etc. So yes the price was higher BUT the overall quality is greater.
Another example, since this post is on the Genesis. There is no way I can purchase a Genesis direct from the factory as cheap as I could from Hobby King.
However, like the previous example i used, let's look at the quality of overall purchase since now I would have carbon fiber motor mounts with rear mounting designed specifically for the new Leopards (4074), Seaking 180 Amp ESC, etc.
It appears to me that most people who are buying or who have bought a Genesis rip out the motor and ESC and do an upgrade. This boat certainly justifies it so you buy an inexpensive boat from HobbyKing and shelf the motor/electronics. It would be much better I think to purchase a hull with complete graphics and full hardware set and do your own motor/ESC installation.
The question I have is that how much would the FE boaters on this forum be willing to pay for a fully graphiced Genesis with full set of factory hardware less motor, servo and ESC? I can take this pricing survey info to my friend and see if your requests would be possible. You would be dealing direct with him so I believe the pricing would be the lowest possible. Shipping would probably be by EMS which is less expensive than DHL and would be shipped direct from the factory.
