If you are going twins, you may want to think of ordering up a special two motor mount and throwing in some rails spaced at 4". It will be tight, but no reason not to try it! I am working on a twin Triton and drew up a motor mount for Peter Zicha. He took the drawing and coded up his CNC lathe and spit me out a killer mount and for not too much.... it should be here any day.

That is cool i was going to bolt two mounts together.

If your leaning towards twin rudders for extra cooling the extra water isn't going to make much differance. I run a rudder with a dual pick up and it supplies 4 motors and 4 esc's and at high speed the water pressure is more than enouph, I had to fill my brass water spigits with solder then drill them out smaller to cut back the flow so I didnt blow out the water line. Question is how fast are you planing to go ? At slower speeds a second pick up is good. Speeds over 40 and a single pick up is enouph to supply a twin prop set-up. Also a second rudder will give your boat added lift at the back wich isnt good for handling and more lean from torque effect from the motor, a single rudder will cancle most of the torque effect out and your boat will ride with less lean. Just a thought. Good luck hope it works out for you. Oh....and it will turn on a dime with a single rudder !

I see some guys are going with twin screws how does that work with counter rotating screws and twin rudders? two of the Feigao 11L motors what some one else is doing i was also thinking of this.

The last twin prop mono I personally had expierance with was a Traxxis Villian. It rocked side to side, but that was my first boat . I cant speek for anyone else who has built a real FE in this setup. Probably should know what you are doing before attempting that kind of a build and check out some video's on youtube to see if it will handle the way you want. I would stick with a single prop for a boat that size, usually see twin mono's in larger size like 40'' and up.

Sounds like way too much weight. Get a bigger hull if you want twins.

I cant imagine twins in it- to small.

Plus one 380 XL is enough to make this hull scoot good. 540L even better. Im curious to see what the 4074 2000KV will yield- insanity is my guess.

These boats handle like you wouldnt believe. Dual rudder is useless on these. If you got any more rudder it would probably flip over or something. I can WOT turns- even sharp ones- without an issue.

If you really like the dual rudder look, I would make them shorter - like less than 2" wet maybe closer to 1.5". Twins would be a squeeze and I would probably step back to 380L cans. I can redraft the motor mount for Peter if you decide to go this route. Ya weight will be an issue, just make sure all available space is filled with flotation.

Have you ever messed with rudder caster angles, thinking keep 0 deg on port rudder and run a neg 1-2 degree on starboard this will cause lift on port and dig on starboard compassion for motor torque roll. i am also going with trim plates that will help tune the boat too run in the water level. i already went with the short rudders should be 1.75 wet.

Thats a 380 XL- 2868 with 2898Kv. 120 ESC and two 3S in parallel. Run times around 2-3 minutes I think been awhile since I could get a "full" run.

Hopefully I will have video & eagle tree data tomorrow.

This one is runnig a Feigao 9L (2731 kV) on 4s Same boat and same setup i am going to do except with a 11L be a little slower..

9L on 4s isn't going to last long, that's for sure.
