Bigger prop should be no prob. I'm pretty confident mine will spin a 457 easily. Just need one of those 240 amp esc's first!

4-runs so far. The turnigy 180 is the weak link in the setup on 6s. But seems to be doing fine with the 452. Only issue so far is too much heat between the esc and the motor wires. I swapped out the 6mm bullets to 8mm this morning. That should solve it. I'm sure the motor can take more prop, but I'm happy with 50mph and I don't want to push the esc too hard.

hey guys i just broke my stock flex shaft on this boat and i was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a new one, and if so can you please post a link i have been looking around but i cant seam to find anything. i know that it is most likely right under my nose or something like that but if could give me a little help i would owe you one....

It's a 5mm flex cable with square end, right?

I'm not sure where to get them either. There's a few wizards here though.

TFL Hobby makes them, but doesn't have a retail outlet.

If all else fails, I can add one to my next order, it will take about 10 days.

Got in another run today on the osprey with a carbon 54mm prop. Top speed was 48mph. I had better results with the brass x452 @ 50.3 mph. Not gonna try my 57mm prop in fear that it will overload the turnigy 180. Ran about 6-7 minutes this time. All temps were warm except the wires/5.5bullets between the esc and the motor were pretty hot. Does anyone think the 5.5 bullets are too small? I'm not sure of how much they can handle. Sorry, no vid. yet. I'll get one soon I promise.

I've started using 8mm on the motor wires on the bigger amp setups. No matter what "S", if I'm expecting 100 amps or more continuous, I'll go with 8mm.

I had this problem in a high amp 3s setup, I literally melted the solder on CC 6.5's. Switched to 8mm and no more problems. Seemed overkill at the time, but worked.
