I gonna put my Miss Bud built on hault and run the turnigy 120a marine and the Feigao 8XL on 4s in this hull and see what happens. I still haven't received my esc yet, I call the post office and they said it was held up in customs in NY. So let the wait begin. Does anyone know what size collet I need for this, I have the proboat flexshaft but Im not sure which collet will fit. I need a 5mm to whatever the Proboat shaft size is?

        Thanks, Chris

I run the same setup, except the 9xl, and its fast and runs cool! You're setup should really make it fly!

I was thinking about using a UL-1 motor with the turnigy 120a in this, because I want to run a 4s in the nose of it to help keep it in the water and I don't have enough space to fit an XL in front of it. I'll post a pic.

Good idea. Thats one bad thing about the xl motor in this hull. I found that out the hard way! The ul-1 motor is a good choice.

Now what size prop do you think I should use, because the UL-1 uses 3/16 props so I can't get the stock one?

                Thanks, Chris

You just need a 1/8 to 3/16 sleeve to use other props. Steve sells em here on ose. Or you can buy the proboat prop and it comes with the sleeve

                    Nice score for $50!

I like the hope chest too.

I use the prop adapter, which is actually 2-pieces of brass tubing to take up the slop.(3/16 & 5/32) I'm getting in the mid-40's on an octura 442 with no heat issues whatsoever.

                        Prop shaft

                        Chris,

                        Great buy!

Depending on when the hull was built, you have either the 3 or 4mm staight shaft. I'd bet on the 3mm. Check with Jeff Wohlt, he can cut the adapter for you.

                        Have fun with the build,
                        John

Thanks guys, I will be buying some things when I get my pay check. I will keep you updated. Also would the UL-1 motor be powerful enough for this hull on 4s?

                          Thanks, Chris

It has an 1/8 inch prop shaft.
