Did you do your own prop work? Why did you decide to de-tongue? Were you getting too much heat?

Thanks Dom. I cant wait to get it back in the water. I wanted to do a bit more detail, but Im too nervous that one good blow over at close to 70 and Im not going to be using this hull anymore...Originally posted by domwilson View PostI got to hand it to ya. Ya do good work. That boat looks awesome. Can't wait to see the videos.
Egneg did em. Ive detongued before but never cupped and didnt want to screw them up so I sent them out. Not really any heat issues, just dont need the bottom end so much. I detongued a 442 Im using on a single drive cat and pick up a bit of top end... so thats why I had it done on these.Originally posted by Rumdog View PostDid you do your own prop work? Move your CG slightly forward if you are wanting those speeds...around 48-50 the hull will start to raise up from the air in the tunnel.

Thanks Jeff. Im already close to 67... Im hoping for just a couple mph more. Like I said, goal is 70. The ride attitude at 67 is perfect.Originally posted by Jeff Wohlt View PostMove your CG slightly forward if you are wanting those speeds...around 48-50 the hull will start to raise up from the air in the tunnel.

Scott, can you post some pics of the props when you get a chance? What pitch are you going up tp 1.6?FE BOATING: Less like a hobby and more like an addiction!

I will get some pics tonight. They are 442 props, so 1.4, w/ just the tips bent a little for the cupping just to narrow the thrust cone a bit. Not re-pitched.Originally posted by blackcat26 View PostScott, can you post some pics of the props when you get a chance? What pitch are you going up tp 1.6?
