latest pic, glueing in some cf strip to stiffen the starboard side hatch opening.

Looking good, I used a similar CF strip on a whip build and found it had good strength length wise but had a bad habit if splitting longitudinally when glued in as in the picture if I was a bit to forceful with the cowl.

You can prevent that by glassing the strip in, after glueing it in.

well after I get the motormount & stuffing tube in...I was thinking a nice bright fluorescent red .

welll, that too :). I find that trying to keep track of my boat(s) on a crowded course works much better if I can see it...the radioactive pink on the underside is so that it doesn't get mistaken for a buoy .
