I don't have an Elam but I'm curious .... is the cowl/turbine duct fiberglass (stock from factory)?

The cowl is more less stock. I removed the bulge in deck and cowl for the stock gas carb set up and installed a inner liner for the air to ram threw and keep water out. So it has been modified a lot.

Thanks but what I was actually wondering is: What is the stock cowling made of .... fiberglass, ABS, etc. ? Thanks, Bruce

did you put an access hatch over the motor to water proof? I am getting ready to do this same boat and am glad to have found this thread.

No I tape down the cowl to seal the hatch.
