Hey I can view it on the little screamer thread . Randy that really a nice running eighth scale . My circus hull is 8lbs less motor and electrics .In your opinion Randy would the screamer be a decent choice for my boat if I wanna run between 55 and 65 mph in this boat. The prop I have in mind is an x 457. The nitro motor it would replace is a picco 67 that was balanced and bluprinted by a guy name Ken Stone In Oklahoma City. Its kinda funny cuz my picco has never been run and I want to convert the boat to electric. It seems that nitro motors are going to become obsolete;Oh well,we were probably killing the fish anyway.

Thanks, It is just a start, there is more in it. I like my 1/8 scales to come in at about 16 lb, this boat is a tank weighs 20 lb. with out paint add 2 more pounds. I need to get to work to night, I will add more in the morning. I do like the motor. I think it has potential to do what you want. Was not able to run the boat this Sunday I had a lot of other boats to set up and with daylight savings a little short on time. I may get to run it in LA at the SAW's. The 455 is just a starting point, the motor definably has more power to push other bigger props. I just have not been able to get to the pond since the SAW's. It sits there quietly waiting.Originally posted by pmisuinas View PostComment

To make the prop work you will need a low lifting prop. The problem I was having with the X460 was cavitation. What I was going to do is some prop work to stop the direction of flow out to the sides of the blade and make it travel in a pushing direction. Just going bigger does not help. I guess I just dont get why all the fe guys insist on mono props on their hydro? all that strut angle introduces drag. I guess i dont understand using a prop with no lift then angling the strut 4-6 degress to get the butt out of the water. whats the purpose of hydro props then? Well I am not talking about running a mono this is a Pro Boat build. Angling the strut with any boat will cause hop and lift. I had the problem of cavitation with any bigger prop than 455 with this low RPM motor. Sorry I do not have the time to write all the concepts nor the concentration.
