Ride in your local ghetto or slums and see where those useful welfare checks are being spent. I guess buy booze with Food Stamps is approved in your eyes. Sure some do spend the money appropriately and for the betterment of themselves and their families. But far too many use this as a crutch for their habits and other inappropriate things.Originally posted by Rumdog View PostActually, thats the best thing that my tax dollars can do in my eyes. Help the less fortunate. How exactly do rapists and drug dealers fit in to this?
But I'm guessing that a person who is less fortunate and receives government assistance can drive a Cadillac, otherwise known as a high prices automobile, and you see that fit. I see proof in my city everywhere. My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

I agree with whats stated.Originally posted by domwilson View Post
So because someone's father worked hard and got wealthy, and passed his wealth down to future families resulting in the lazy as quoted, the government should take part of his wealth and give it to those that don't have it.
Or should someone that works a base paying job for a honest living should be supplemented to make him equal with what we classify as the rich? Where is the free market in this? Where is the drive to do better? That is like giving 7th place a trophy. Or saying "hey, you tried hard but didn't win, so here's the a million dollar prize also." When this happens, the entire society will be driven by laziness and dependency. People will become complacent in their lives because they know someone will help them out. How is that fair?My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

Have you know knowledge of economics? Welfare = free money. Free money in the wrong hands gets spent on non-necessities like crack and weed, or Cadillacs. Free money has thus funding drug dealing.
C'mon, you're a realists. You know what really happens in the world. Surely you've heard of drug dealing on the streets before. My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

You do know that more white women were on welfare than black?Originally posted by calcagno45 View PostRide in your local ghetto or slums and see where those useful welfare checks are being spent. Trust me man, drug dealers make plenty of money. Money that could be taxed if their werent laws stipulating what one can and cannot do with their body. For some people crack is a necessity. Addiction is a disease, not a law enforcement issue. Welfare cannot pay for a Cadillac, no matter how you slice it.

Should those that can afford to, shoulder the burdens of society? Even though the top 1% control the largest percentage of wealth, do you think it is fair for the middle class to shoulder a larger percentage of the tax burden? The wealthy can afford to find loopholes, tax shelters, and hire lawyers that the middle class cannot attain. Is that really fair?Originally posted by calcagno45 View PostI agree with whats stated.

I understand there are hard working people out there that don't get paid enough. I've worked those jobs, I know what it's like. Sure I wish I had a supplemental pay from the government for having good character, but nothing came... I scrounged and hustled for my money to live and obtain my possessions.

I'm well aware. I have never differentiate here based on color. I stated and referred to the "less fortunate" as they are called.

Sure drug dealers make a bundles of money that could very well be taxed appropriately and supply more money for government assistance programs.
If Welfare cannot buy Cadillacs, then please show me where these unemployed, government depended people get the money to afford these vehicles? My prop hasn't been wet in a while.

Please prove to me that they're unemployed and /or that they actually bought these vehicles..Why is it that people want to blame welfare recipients for the ailing economy. How about that useless money pit of a war we've been fighting.

Or the $700 billion bailout? Or the $2.3 billion that went to CTI that will probably never get paid back. Obama's administration did stop them from getting additional money that they requested.Originally posted by Rumdog View PostPlease prove to me that they're unemployed and /or that they actually bought these vehicles..Why is it that people want to blame welfare recipients for the ailing economy. If you want proof, open your eyes and drive down to the slums. Ask on how they obtained a vehicle with rims while not working and collecting welfare.Originally posted by Rumdog View PostPlease prove to me that they're unemployed and /or that they actually bought these vehicles..Why is it that people want to blame welfare recipients for the ailing economy.

I actually agree there. However, I will say that we should either just bring the heat and end it once and for all, or bring all the troops home now. Something has to be done.My prop hasn't been wet in a while.
