You are kidding right? you want our Gummit running health care system?

What a fiasco that will be. there is not a socialized health care system any where in the world that you do not have to wait long periods of time for a consultation or ever have expensive options refused for the betterment of the system. Let alone be able to run it with any sort of effeciency. They spent 90 billion dollars to send out those 250 dollar social security payments.

That is TOTAL B.S. Apparently you haven't read anything about the other health care systems. France has the best, hands down. You know why? They don't squander their national treasury by starting unwinnable wars like we do! Canada's is second. You need to get your head of the Republican lie machine's arse and think for yourself for a change.

We don't need to know the FACTS to know the LIES from the right. Death panels, etc. Such pure drivel that has been totally debunked yet the stupid and stupider out there believe it. WHERE is the reasoning power of the right? They have been so 'dumbed down' by the GOP machine that it is pathetic. They listen to hate radio and TV and believe the lies and propaganda being put out there. UNBELIEVABLE.

It's been said that Democrats are elite snobs. No, they are educated people who read and study and make rational decisions as opposed to the backwoods bible thumping gun totin backy spittin southern baptist base of the Republican party. They grew up in the fire and brimstone evangelical church and were taught to never question what their preacher told them. In other words....never think for yourself....just shutup and follow.

How do I know? I grew up in the southern baptist church! I was lucky to wake up to their mind control and brainwashing toward the end of my high school years. Best decision I ever made was to get as far away from them as possible!

Yep, France sucks. My wife was on an extended business trip there a few months ago and one of the people in their group fell and broke her arm. Went to the ER, got in , got X-rayed, got a cast, got some meds, and was out in 90 minutes total. Oh, and it cost ZERO. Pretty suck system if you ask me.

I think alot of the issues with healthcare reform can be resolved if these politicians actually took the time to read the bill and actually work together to come up with a viable plan free of corporate influence. Not mentioned often is the fraud that occurs in billing practices from doctors, billing services, and hospitals. Healthcare costs could also be greatly reduced if there were more focus on preventative care. Also more transparency in patient healthcare costs and billing. Criminalizing some of the gross negligence that occurs in malpractice cases. That would help to reduce insurance premiums that doctors/caregivers pay for malpractice insurance and lead to better healthcare overall as doctors would be more attentive to what they are doing. A reduction in payouts for minor malpractice claims is also needed.

Unfortunately, the GOP can not and will not ever be free of corporate influence. It is their mantra...big business, big profits, the little people be damned.

My observances are not from READING propaganda but from talking with guests who stay at our resort. Most nights we spend around the campfire talking and both the guests from Canada, Finland, and France are not as happy with the system as the media would let you believe. Also who is going to pay for this?

We have guests from Canada on a weekly basis and yet have I talked to anyone from Canada who is happy with their health system. On average it takes them 30 days to get to see a doctor or come to the states to see them quickly

WE will in raised taxes. in Finland they keep only about 35% of their income because of one tax laid on top of another. I am an Independent voter who votes for both sides based on their stance.

Our system in the US is soooo great. I went to the emergency room, with all the symptoms of a stroke. This was at the premiere heart center hospital in the Tampa Bay area. I was made to SIT for 7 hours before I was ever seen! What a frickin joke!

Have to wait for appointments? It took me three months to see a surgeon for back surgery I desperately needed, all the while in excruciating pain.

We have the best health care system in the world? If you believe that, you are truly delusional.

Some government bureaucrat to determine your health care rather than your doctor? Again, a joke in this country. I am finally on medicare and THANK GOD! My doctor and I can finally tend to my care without the interference and denials of the private health insurance I had all my life. THAT is what we have now, Insurance Company Bureaucrats denying care. My doctors all much prefer Medicare. They say medicare lets them practice medicine rather than fighting constantly with the insurance companies. What is Medicare? It is UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE RUN BY THE GOVERNMENT! All we need to do is extend it to everyone.

WAKE UP PEOPLE! What do you want? Continue the health insurance racket that is ripping you off or have a system that helps with the care of yourself and your loved ones? Anyone fighting this legislation should take a deep look inside rather than listening to the total bullcrap coming from the GOP which is totally bought and paid for by the insurance and pharmaceutical companies.

For those of you who buy into the whining about the cost, if you're not getting health care provided by your employer, you are already paying a HUGE premium to have health insurance. Before I went on Medicare, my wife and I, in perfect health, were paying $800/month for LOUSY coverage! Almost $10K a year only to be turned down a lot, have huge deductibles and co-pays. What crap! I would happily pay more taxes for everyone to have the Medicare I enjoy.

For those of you who don't give a damn about the poor and less fortunate that don't have and cannot afford health care, I pity you for you are a person without a soul. Strangely, many of you who feel that way also profess to be Christians while violating the simplest of Jesus's teachings...to take care of the poor and sick. SHAME ON YOU!

Oh horrors, 30 days to see their doctor? DOH! It takes me just as long to get into my primary care doctor here in the states! So don't give me that bit of information without following it up with SO DO WE HERE IN THE U.S. which is the whole truth. The outright lies and HALF-TRUTHS being hurled by the right should be an insult to anyone's intelligence but sadly there seems to be very little of that commodity available to those that follow the GOP and their lie machine. A mind is a terrible thing to waste but in their case I guess it doesn't matter, not much there to waste in the first place.

It take as long here for a routine doctor visit. BUT, ask your guests how long it takes them to get in for urgent care? How much does it cost them? How was the care? Were they happy with the outcome.

You can't 'selectively' cherry pick the one or two things they may not think is perfect and not include what they think is great! That is dishonest at best.

I suspect that anyone living under any system will find something wrong with it. That's human nature. BUT, when you put the different systems up next to each other, some rise to the top. Unfortunately, the U.S. is ranked below many third world and developing countries in health care. That is beneath the dignity of this great nation all for the sake of greed and profits.

Haven't you figured this out yet? The insurance companies DON'T WANT the fraud, abuse, etc. to be cleaned up. If it was, they would have to lower their premiums and that is the kiss of death to them! They would as soon absorb the fraud and raise the premiums far further than necessary to cover it.

I recently started looking at my mutual funds investments and found I was invested in pharmaceuticals and health insurance. I called my broker and told him to move my money out of those funds into something that had no correlation to the CROOKS in those industries. At least I can sleep better at night knowing I'm not supporting their obscene profits on the backs of the health of the American people.
