Democrats may pass health reform without GOP

Now that's what I'm talking about!

Breaking news, political news, and investigative news reporting from Raw Story's team of journalists and prize-winning investigators.

I would like to see some of the Republicans disguise themselves as joe public, go to a hospital, state that they don't have health insurance and see how long before they are asked to leave.

Why just republicans.....why not Dems as well. I doubt hospitals care one way or the other about politics.

Just to motivate them to work out a bipartisan healthcare reform plan.

I think both sides could use a good shot of that.

... that requires participation of all three brances of Federal officials, appointed or elected.

But sadly it looks like the stupid people are winning. Truth and reality are meaningless. What matters is how effective the opposition is at gaining support for their side, even if it means lying:

And I am really tired of this. Let's debate the facts, not some distorted version of reality.

fantastic, but what are you to base your "facts" on? What you contrive from the media? Good lord, I might suggest a crystal ball.

What exactly are the facts? Moreover, how do you arrive at said facts, and know that they are in fact.......you guessed it.....facts?

I can tell ya. You interpret the facts based on your interpretation of what ever trash any given form of media feeds you, just like the rest of us poor sots....

Did you even look at the link?

And please never confuse distortion and lying with "interpretation". The Right has outright lied about the provisions of the health care reform bills and people are buying into their lies.

Again I ask....how do you KNOW what the provisions are? What are you basing your accusations on? Insider information, or just what you chose to accept from the media, and yes, I read the link, was almost the second best laugh I had all day.

This just demonstrates how our system of education is failing us. Big business keeps us fat, medicated and dumb. The media has taken "freedom of speech" to "freedom to lie."
If someone would summarize the bill for some of these people, maybe it would have a better chance of passing.

                            New tactic... http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/...QRH2AD9AC37PG1
Denial of medical coverage based on voter history. Yeah right...

                              From the linked article....

"just a preview of the falsehoods, fabrications and outright lies Republicans will be pushing when Congress returns in September."

typical of what the far right stands for today...
