I am gathering interest to modified a batch of Lawless 3.5 lower units as per the photo below

I worked some things out and it is dearer than and OS lower unit setup, but dearer means better, right?
OS setup with adaptor for FE will set you back approx $200USD + postage (1 OS shaft in this price)
These Lawless units will include:
OS hinge plate assembly
OS water pickup
OS Propshaft
Lawless lower unit modified for electric, including oiling hole (mods done by me)
5mm to .150 square drive coupler
3 flex shafts to suit (just in case, should only need 1)
Thinner(width), bent caveplate as shown to give clearance on 42mm props
Looking at around $250usd shipped to you. Aussies less as postage is a little cheaper
The main benefit of the lawless is the motor is sitting at least .75" lower (more like 1") than an an OS setup (with an adaptor)...and it just looks better :)
