Hey I got my Mystic Hatch last week. Thanks a lot!! Wow on the packaging. I think with the way you packaged it that the postman could have been on that show deadliest roads and rocks could have tumbled down a cliff and landed on the delivery truck and it would have still survived!! Great product, great packaging and a great price!! Thanks!!

Still making these? Have you made one with the vertical fin? I plan on doing that to mine, but working it into the plastic stock hatch seems like a insufficient platform.Attached Fileswww.IndyHobbies.com - Bringing Indiana Modelers Together

Spent over an hour at my Dupont dealer trying to match up this color, and we were only able to get about 95% accuracy
What we ended up having to do was scuff the entire boat, paint the hatch, then blend out the basecoat color onto the hull. with just the hatch painted, it was just a tick off, but after a very controlled blend with the airbrush, she looked brand new after clearcoat. None of this was very practical though, as we had just shy of $100 in material and over 2 hrs labor. totaled 2/3 the cost of a new boat

Thanks...........NickI do not have any laid up and will not for at least another week or more. Things have been too busy to even have an afternoon for the "hobby stuff". White hatches are no longer available. I do have one that I got back because I purchased the complete boat from someone who had purchased one of my hatches. I sold it as a blem as it was the last bit of white topcoat I had in the can so its not very thick. It had 2 holes drilled in the rear for hatch locks which I have filled. I planned to paint it and use it for a future build but abandoned that build. If either of you are interested in it, please PM me and we can work out a discounted price.Originally posted by Jason4636 View PostDo you have any lids layed up?

Would it really matter about the top coat if I'm going to sand and paint it anyway? I can wait its no problem. I don't get my boat till Friday. I'm not tearing it down for a week or two for a complete rebuild. So I really don't need it for a couple of weeks. But what's the price of the blemished one

It would not matter at all. IMO its actually easier to prep w/ out it. I didnt lay my personal hatches up w/ it, I left them raw.
