That is a great looking boat on your profile. Red/Silver paint job! Would be great to see a beam view. BTW I am starting from scratch on the MG paint. If this boat is a licensed product of AMF/Geico the color may not be made available to the masses likle us, I also put in a csll into AMF and the Geico team to see if they has any ideas. The response should br interesting. If Probost holds the license for the Miss G big and small the boatcolor and all other design and build data should reside with ProBoat PB says they checked with china manufacturing partner and they could not determine the color
pecifictions at the fsctory, Darin Jordan tried to work through Horizon Hobby and was shotdown.

Hopefully you have better luck.. I went all those routes as well and had littl to no response from any.

Your talking about the Amsoil cat? Ill see if I can find any pics of the beam, or transom if thats what you meant. I will probably have to take a pic as I lost just about everything on my computer.

i think ive got it pretty close on my mm. i used the brightest yellow then added a few drops of blue to give it that neon green sorta look it has. but you gotta mix and use spray eq. otherwise there really isnt rattle cans that color

Just a thought... The newest paints I discovered, Belton Molotow Premium in bombs, has a technique for mixing paints in the cans, one to the other with special cap system. They are also advertising new Flourescent Neons coming out soon.

tried it yesterday handles great. also boat cooks with a 6s feigao 12xl.

any ideas on how to paint the front window? pin striping to keep a straight line.

Yup, pinstriping tape. I use 1/8 then back it w 1/4 inch 3m tape.

JP, I replied to your PM. Your part pulled w/ nastiness. Im not happy w/ the finish at all. I must have scraped some non mixed top coat off the side of the container and it never cured, so when I pulled it, it was a sticky stuck mess. I tried to salvage it but it became further and further from a part Id be willing to sell. I pulled your new one this morning and its fantastic. I can mail it tomorrow.

Pete and Chiefy Im looking at early to mid next week. I will do my best to have them ready sooner.

Also, If I can ever get caught up, Im casting a mold of one w/ out scoops (for future scoop options) and puting a slight... chamfer, roundedness, curve etc where the canopy meets the deck. It will also have a slightly raised window frame in the same shape as the current window line.

Unless some of you want to wait, this wont be done until Im caught up w/ orders so I dont keep folks waiting.

I will also have window frames that can be added to the existing hatches in epoxy/ cloth, epoxy/ black carbon and epoxy black cloth (looks like carbon). I may make one of these yet today just so I can get them on here.

Recently I had been questioned on why shippng for a hatch is $15.00 when heavier priority items can ship for about$10.00.

Heres the answer:
Yes, shipping (postage) is generally between 9 and 11 dollars. Tracking is an additional cost, the hatches do not fit correctly in the $10.95 or whatever it is Priority box, however the one they do fit is a monstrosity and about 14 or $15.

So let me get back on track, roughly 10 dollars postage, then I had to buy a box, Walmart used to carry a perfect size for about 80 cents and no longer does. they are also about 10 miles down the road, where as the local grocery store, about 3/4 mile away has a great size sturdy box for $2.79 per box. So thats what I use. Packing materials popcorn, tape etc also goes into factor. Post office is a few miles away, at 4.16 a gal, it costs to go there as well. By the time Im done, $15.00 hardly cuts it.

thats why I charge what I charge. At about 3 dollars an hour to make these... believe you me, I often feel none of this is worth my time and I should be charging A LOT more. Another gentleman on here was going to sell them at $90.00. I felt this was too high for two reasons, one, current economic times and two, Production companies offer glass hatches from about $30.00 and up. The argument there is, "production companies pump a bunch of these out a day, have huge bulk buys on both materials and for distribution. Small builders such as myself cannot compete w/ these people. They can probably build 5 hatches for what it costs me to do one....
Just saying this for clarification so there are no questions as to why?

dude they are worth every cent. love mine and the outrageous 15.00 shipping charge. lol i work for the USPS and your cost for shipping is not bad. you pack that top so us rough handling USPS workers don't damage it.

I should have the frame mold ready in a few days. I plan on selling them as they come off the mold, so they will need to be cut out and installed on the hatch. I have not yet determined the price. But they will be offered in both carbon and regular cloth.
