I think you're right Ron, we're going to find that this hull doesn't need the CG that far up. I got mine @ 2 3/8" and I'm going to run it and see how it goes. If nothing else we might need to add a little weight in the sponson tips, this may help two ways (1)stability (2)Forward CG.

No need to add weight. I just feed in a little negative angle to the strut and/or use a higher lifting prop. My favorite prop on it so far is the Y547 . That's with a TFL 4082/2200kv motor on 4s1p.
I believe that the rails that run along the bottom of the hull keep the air packed in & help lift the tail. That's why the hull can handle a more rearward COG.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

I'd like to see more video of this thing being successfully run.
Cute graphics, but will it out-handle say a Phil Thomas, or an FE-30?

Bill, at about the 1:20 mark I bring it in to do a quick "hand adjustment" on the turnfin bracket and from that point on, I have no problems staying in front of the FE 30 that was there that day as well. It was pretty rough and windy that day and both boats stayed nicely planted on the water.

Will x2 3s 5000mah packs fit in this hull? I want to run 6s1p for sport and wonder whether they will work on this hull with a 1400kv 4074? It's a choice between one of these or a ML GP335

                        Easily Matt.

Either lengthwise or across the hull.
