    Outboard Cowl cover

Have been working on a twin brushless outboard cat project and needed some scale cowl covers to give this hull the right look. I came across a boat hull builder Evolution Rc , http://evorc.com.au/ they made me a cowl that would suit my 3.5 K&B outboard. This cowl started as a hand carved plug that was used to make the moulds. As you can see from the pics they did a great job to not only make the shape right but also to make it functional with the air vents.

    Moulds made from plug

First test cowl out of the mould with air vents cut out

I used an etching primer for aluminium, then top coated with enamel black and a few coats of clear.

I'm assuming they would be to small for a K&B 7.5?

It really depends on the size of the brushless motor mount for the 7.5 and how scale you want it to look. The 7.5 is about 40 mm longer then the 3.5 , so you will have more of the outboard leg protruding in front of the cowl.
