    Castle HV Controller????

    Hello all,

I am in the market for an HV controller. So far all of my experience with "high'er" amp set ups have been using Castle products.

I am open to trying something different, but I am still a little skeptical of the SwordFish units. They seem to be hit or miss for quality/reliability. With regards to MGM, they seem to be quality units. However, at this point, they are more than I want to spend for a controller.

    What's out there?

What are the chances someone has a Castle ICE HV?

    Later,
    Ball

How about the German YGE speedo, not cheap but great quality units. The Swordfish are good units for the price...

Forgot about the YGE's. Can you buy and get support for the YEG (watercooled) in the US?

How many cells are you going to running?
There are some Castle ICE-8S around.

I was looking at those earlier today. I wish the Etti's were used more around here in case I needed help. Do they have a USB or program box? I am not a big fan of programming by beeps/tones.

Unfortunately Etti is all trigger/beeps for programming. But I am on my fourth year with mine. Running 12s on a pair of 220's.

                          Hello,

For not much more money, I can get a brand new unit from Steve at OSE (Etti or swordfish) and have support and/or access to service if needed. You have a nice unit there, but Castle will no longer support. Not to mention its a much older model.

My next option will be to convert a current air controller.

                          Thanks
                          Mike

You are welcome to make and offer. It is not doing me any good just sitting. I already have an MGM 28026 for my mono...just need to pick up a pair of 120As for my cat build. I would rather take a hit on it and see it go to good use...

I recently started using the flier 16s 400 amp esc in my 45" Insane race mono.Do a search as there are few places to buy them for good prices. it's the coolest piece of equipment in the boat. I run a TP5870 600 kv on 10s 2p and a 7016 3 blade or a 2814 abc prop from Brian Buaas. Boat is right around 70mph in race trim. And if you get a bad one they will replace it.
Steven i think you should consider selling there line of esc.
