I dunno man, you want reliability running 2200 on 6s may not be the best solution. Most guys that run these setups keep runtimes short. If you must go for a Neu motor.

Yeah even the 1515 wont last long on 6s. Just because it can handle 60,000 rom doesn't mean you should run them like that in boats. Remember, it's direct drive, there is no gearing to reduce load like in cars. I run my 1515 on 5s and that's really the limit for sport running IMO

It's not a matter of can size its a matter of kv. 2200 on 6s with any motor is pushing your luck

The can length of 1518 is listed as 83.5mm, that is max in the MG, any longer you will have trouble to use the inner lid, I have a Leopard 4082 and already had to modified ( enlarge the bubble with heat gun) also you will have to slide the motor mount as far back as possible, losing rear support.
Neu 1515 1y on 5s is the max, a guy here was using this on his Mean Machine with a x 440 prop. You have to really watch the size and the pitch of the prop.
I was building a MM and we exchanged info., mine has a Neu 1515 1y but I am using 4s, and couldn't be happier---knowing I have reliable set-up.
For 6s, HeavingEarth is absolutely right, stay between 1400kv and 1600 kv.
If I were to run both 4s and 6s from time to time, I will get two different motors for these occasions, IMO.
For the ESC, you need to disable the BEC feature for 6s set up and run a separate receiver pack, sure you already know that, otherwise you are taxing that ESC as well.Too many boats, not enough time...

You will not be disappointed with an ARC motor. The 1680Kv on 6S would be a better choice. Their prices are very good too.

Lenny. As I stated I already have a esc and others have told me to stay away from this brand. Cheap. I have an idea of what I want but am gathering other combos people have already used. I didn't know I have to do what u say since u must be the motor god. When I figure out what combo I will make sure I run it by u. ThanksOriginally posted by lennyHey,
I gave him a link to a good cheap and reliable 3674 motor, http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._Inrunner.html
Also the SK 130a hv esc to use in the geico on 6s with head room.
Plus video's to back it all up and the setup,
So he clearly has no idea what he is looking for or doing or wants.
