Manual says a rechargable lipo built in. At 41 grams thats an ounce and a half which is much better than 5 oz. Didn't see a price anywhere?

Missed that. Thanks. Plus its about 1/2 the price. BUT not waterproof. So would need to go in a bag.

                    I'm using Mainnav MG600 http://www.mainnav.com/product/mg-600.html

Very happy with it. $90 from a bicycle store. Also took it on a recent South Pacific cruise and it logged our position every 10 seconds for two weeks. Then downloaded the data and used the software provided to map my trip on Google Earth. It was great. Even showed the places we walked to on the various islands we stopped at. And I only originally bought it to to log the top speed on my Genesis!

                    Cheers

                    Jon

The eagletree GPS has a big advantage if you are a racer, corner speeds for prop optimization.
