Uh ooh... I'm not sure. Give me a couple days to get the coolers done, then i will make some couplers.
The sets screws have never failed me. I use a Knurled tip type that doesn't back out easy.
Nine set screws is pretty darn solid.
I run my 33" P-mono with one of these couplers, 8mm-.187" and I've never had it slip. 1521 1.5D on 4S2P & a D/T x450.
Now I haven't finished my Q-mono to try out a coupler in that but, i gave one to Steve Reesor and he used it for saws ina big Q-rigger and it worked great. Chris K. a club member owns that hull now and the coupler is still in there working away.
I need until the end of the week, then couplers... man thats allot of aluminum shavings...
