HK Aquastar has no built in BEC so you would need to use external like this one:

or you can run a standard reciever pack... or heck even a 4 cell aa battery setup.... as far as I am concerned the rxr battery is the most reliable.... just in my experience....

I'd get the program card.. I imagine its the same from OSE for sure as they are the same esc... I'm sure steve will have his swordfish back in stock soon... i'd wait for his for the product support, especially because the cost is very close after shipping.... and steve is known to back these for DOA type issues too... HK is a long wayyy away :)

how many lipo cells are you going to be running? the castle ice is a good option

Yeah i would prefer to buy from Steve.
I can wait for them to to be re stocked.

I will be running 6s max and need something bullet proof.
I like the stand alone program card so the SF will be good.

Castle Ice 200 is known to be a goody too.... was debating picking up one myself for a 6s setup...
