the 40-160's are very good to and can be had for around $600..... c'mon Brad, everyones doing it no in all honesty killer v has nice stuff..... you could run this motor on 10s and scoot and have a nice low amp setup that would be nice on that esc of yours.. CC240hv

or get the fancy $879 schulze and tell the misses... "hun, we were gonna go on vacation this winter to a nice warm place.....but, I bought a new esc for my toy boat!"

Rumdogs old df40 ran a 2215... The one he sold Keith bradley... So I would ask them.... It will take a big prop with the big neu but they will let you know why works best for speed and handling... I almost think they ran a x455...

Sweet...glad it worked out for you. I liked the prather s240 the best on mine at about 34,000RPMs (9s @ 1020kv). You will be about 5000rpms below that.
Im sure running it on 10s will be your best bet in keeping a cool running esc (these motors run butt cold...you wont have a problem with motor temp unless you put it on a real boat).
I'm just not smart enough to get stuff to go fast without spinning the crap out of it!

Yep going 10s 2p....Here soon im going to go with a esc that can run 12s without breaking a sweat but for now the cc240hv will work... Gives me time to work out every little kink and learn the boat. THATS RIGHT!!
