Help! Looking for Viper Non-Turbine Hatch & Minicat Micro Hydro Hatch

I'm looking for a Non-Turbine style Viper hatch, any color, any condition although better is preferable.

I'm also looking for a hatch for the Minicat Racing Micro Hydro.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I'm willing to purchase, but certainly ask me if there is something that you need. I may have it available for trade.

Do you have a Turbine Viper Hatch to trade?

Steven, I wasn't planning on trading the old hatch, but I may consider. It is not in the best shape. This is Danny's old Viper pictured here: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...&pictureid=201

If you notice, there was some damage to the front edge of the hatch on the starboard side. He filled with something, not sure what. Also, he installed an aluminum outlet towards the transom which can be viewed here: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...&postcount=327

Do you have one of these hatches? Let me know and I'm still undecided whether or not I want to trade the turbine. I had intentions of having both, but I'm considering. Personally, I like the turbine, but it catches a lot of air at the speeds I'm running. I have to work very hard to keep it planted.

That "stuff" is just plain ol' epoxy with some white testors paint added for color.

Thanks for the clarity Diego. Now it's no longer "unidentified stuff" LOL! Makes sense after the fact.

Steven, I'm not sure you'd want to trade for this one. I appreciate the consideration though.

It just costs an arm and a leg to get a new one shipped from H&M. I figured I'd start here.

LOL.....I have the Mk II hatch from Danny's first Miss Bud Viper. It does make a huge difference in the way the boat handles vs. the turbine hatch. Getting 60+ is quite a handful with Viper's. I do agree that the original lid is the way to go. Good luck!!!

Yeah, mine is very touchy at around 60, but the speed hasn't been verified yet via GPS. With the larger turn fin, it really helps to keep it planted in the turns, only dropping to 52-53 or so in hard turns.

I lost my fancy prop when the wire drive gave way. I'm going to have to find another if I expect to hit those speeds again. I just recently got another wire drive and prop to try, but I think I'll need another prop to push over 60 again.

Say, you're not selling your hatch are you? LOL!

Meniscus, do you have a link where I can get one from H&M? I would love to have one of the non turbine style covers. I looked but only see the turbine style. Thanks Will

Will, I can provide the info, but there is a minimum purchase requirement of 50 Euro before shipping charges.

I might entertain doing a combined purchase with you, but then you'd be paying shipping again which IMO, wouldn't be worth it. I'd rather purchase something else in addition to get to 50 Euro. In fact, I've been waiting for them to do another run of a certain prop so that I could include it with my order to get me to 50 Euro. I figured I'd post to see if anyone had one around before going through all of the trouble to get one from H&M. Anyway, let me know if you still want the info.

Wow! I didnt know they had that as a minimum. I dont really want to pay shipping twice. Thanks anyway. I guess Im stuck with the turbine for now. Thanks again. Will

If you order one from H&M, I'll get one too (red) 28euro + 28euro will meet the minimum requirement.

Are you going to pay the shipping? LOL, J/K! Let me know when you get funds together.

In the meantime, if ANYONE has a non-turbine hatch they're willing to give up, please let me know!

OK, I'm still looking for a hatch for a Minicat Micro Hydro. Anyone?

And a Viper hatch, but I think that may be a lost cause, LOL!

                              Thanks for viewing.
