Why sell?? You can use this on the 2215/2Y for a LARGE build.. These are acually "good" esc's.. Not the best, but they will work just fine if you dont over prop...
Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

Is the trick using low KV motors and small props? I was eyeing this for my 1521/1.5D in my DF33, what would over-propping this set up for a 100 amp ESC?

Might be interested in trading i this will work for this application.

Tex that's exactly why I bought it but when ever I asked about using in build I was told not enough amps

If that's the case I will try to use it

No tricks,,, The physical size of the motor combine with Low KV (450-900kv) and high voltage (8s-12s total) with the right size prop, will push larger hulls at good speeds. And will draw less amps than a 4s-6s setup with a physically smaller motor,, that is why you can get away with running a 100a esc on 10s2p with 2215/2y,, but not ok on a 4s2p with 1521/1.5d...

Keep in mind the "D" wind Neu's will pull more amps than the "Y" winds,,, I would recommend a High amp esc vs. this High voltage esc....I always run a CC 240 on my 1521/1.5d with 4s2p for great results in any hull from 29"-33"........

Yes it is not enough amps to go 60+ for a race,,, but low 50's for sure.. Untill you can get a CC HV controller this will work for practice... Just dont go over X455 prop and you should be fine... If you go up to the x460-62 you will pull too many amps and blow the 100a esc for sure!

I raced a 40" Insane Cat with a Neu 2215/2Y on 10s1p 6000mah 25c total with a x455 prop at one of the races last year and was getting 54-56mph and pulling 105-115 amps cont. I ran one of these esc's,, just the older version...

It is really not the controller that is doing it..,,, the added Voltage of the 10s lipo vs. 4s is what brings the amps down... As well as the larger size motor,, which can move more wieght/bigger hulls at a given speed without needing too pull those extra amps...
