Hi Leeandre, I assume you mean the 3040/7.

Yes it can be used on 12s. The 30xx motors can turn up to 50.000rpm according to Lehner.

I have a TP 5860 800kv in a 48 Cat and I have as high as 88mph ,considering this motor IF it could push me beyond that mark. Oh 12 s

NO, don't run a 3060/5 on 12S. Thats over 550A and 51kRPM. You can reconnect to a Wye (Star) wind to lower the kV.

Hi Tyler, I agree it would kill the motor without connecting in star.

As shown on the pictures - the 3060/5 is connected in star:-)

Do you need one of those overpriced MGM controllers to run these motors?

No you don't but you will need a hi-amp controller. I have used fliers and Swordfish successfully.

Do you know how the 850 kv motor would perform in a assault racing design ambush 57 ". using a etti 220 controller

@meangenesracing I ran the motor in a 48" mono on 10s with a octura x460/3 prop and it was cold. Here is a video, running +-60mph https://www.rcgalleri.dk/video/diver...inns_virus_100

I'm by the way using a Flier400amp controller and I would recomend an ESC with a higher limit than the etti 220 - but maybe somebody else has experience with the etti controller?
