Leopard 4082 2000kv w/ water jacket

I have a two time used Leopard 4082 2000kv motor with water jacket. Purchased originally from OSE, has their custom wind.

It was used only once about 10 laps in my Genesis before it smoked my 180a SeaKing ESC. The ESC was too weak for this motor on 6S, smoked the ESC, but didn't come close to damaging the motor in any way. Temps never went beyond 140 degrees on the motor, but pulled too many amps on the ESC.

I was going to keep this motor but upgrade to a Swordfish 240, but I decided to go with lower kv and higher voltage for that hull, so this motor needs to go.

I fully tested this motor in my Pursuit on 5S with a 180a ESC, worked flawlessly though 5 packs of lipos. It looks and runs like brand new, looks like it was never installed on a boat.

Comes with 8mm Castle Connectors, tailring is not included. Since I run in saltwarer, it was pickled in Corrosion-X prior to its first run, bearings lubed with SpeedX bearing oil.

If this is the 2000kv it's the D wind correct? Timing likes to be at 5 degrees FYI or they will make esc's unhappy... I've had a few of these 2000kv d winds and liked them very much.... Had some pop lol

Actually, I'm not sure. The motor is from OSE, and stated it has a custom wind. I ran it at 3 degrees to be safe, but it it was still too much for my 180a on 6S.

I actually had it even lower on 3 degrees, and it was still too much for my 180a on 6S. I would run it on 5S or use a Swordfish 240 on 6S with this motor.
