I was told to pay as well & payment was sent via Paypal. He said he would box it up & ship tomorrow. I asked if he received payment & have not had any PM's returned since being asked to pay. But in fairness I did receive a refund, although it does say my refund is pending & the funds are not yet available to me?

See post #6! I was the first to respond as a potential buyer. SELLER CAN SELL TO ANYONE THEY WANT, so no biggie, but very SHADY to say the least!

I don't want a boat from a guy who avoids questions about it anyway. I hope it runs for that price. Seems awful cheap for there not to be something wrong with it.

It does seem cheap, but hopefully all is as it should be. I would say that anybody responding should be a potential buyer, or they are just wasting peoples time. The whole thing seemed off, glad I didn't try to jump in front of others and send payment.

Notably-6. ALL offers and deals must be done on the forum and NOT in private messages! rule changed to "Must" on 8/10/2012.

and-5. The first reply post that shows intent to buy pending more information in the thread (NOT via PM) is first in line to buy the item. ** BUT ** If the sellers item description indicates otherwise, the sellers rule takes precedence.

IMO, showing "interest" or asking questions is not the same as "intent to buy pending more information".
A question about the boat does not give you first dibs. And FWIW, there are plenty of people who waste others' time in the swap shop unfortunately.

I agree with all of that, but we don't have the ability to actually speak with each other. This makes it even more important to communicate via the SALE THREAD. It's over....Let's hope all is well. Maybe there's a language barrier or something weird, because Richard's posts are very short and broken. I'm done with it. It is a cool boat, and I hope the new owner enjoys it.
