I have two like new 40-161's... I bought one that had less then 5 flights in a large scale warbird, and the other from the same person that was bench tested but never in a model... so both are basically as NEW.
upon purchase I then sent them off to Tyler Garrand (Racemechanix) who has god like knowledge of these esc's, I had him upfit them with watercooling, add conformal coating for water resistance, and he added a bunch of added caps to help make them even more indestructible.... in the process he also upgraded the motor wires from 12 gauge to big 8 gauge wire. He did a absolute phenominal job! He did the upfit to the watercooling just as you'd get them from Schulze, and added a bunch of caps to each esc just like he does to his own for SAW abuse... In his hands tyler also downloaded them with the latest software, and they are set up with auto timing and programmed for boat use. I can say tylers work exceeded my expectations, simply amazing.... these will be perfect for someone who needs top of the line workhorse escs!
As many of you know These work PHENOMINAL with the 2 pole lehner motors, and work well with NEU's as well as many others.
I bought these for my MHz mystic, and unfortunately I should have checked the size of the esc's better... forgot how big these schulzes are and they just won't fit in the hull without making major wire length sacrifices as well as appearance sacrifices so I have decided to sell... If I saw any BIG projects down the road I'd be keeping them as we all know how scarce these are now, but I have all my boats with esc's and even backup esc's... so the only thing these will do is sit all summer....
