Shipping to Oz would make the cost more than you would want to pay. I only ship via a solid method and overseas would be more than it's worth.Originally posted by miyage007 View PostHi. Just wondering if will you be able to post the 1530 and the 1717 to Australia? Cheers

With a little luck I should be able to make it to one or the other. Just depends on which way the wind is blowingOriginally posted by flraptor07 View PostBill I'm thinkin' I want the 1530, talk to you Sunday. if you'll be at the Bennett meeting and or Ackerman

Glad to hear it Mike. I always worry about shipping company handling when sending a model. (one of the reasons I prefer local pickup)

Hey Bill! Wondering what type of deal you could do on the 47" mono shipped to 04103? Also I see the sprintcat has been battle tested :) Interested in that one as well..... I am going to the district 11 namba club meeting this coming Sunday in Berwick Maine! Yup moving to maine had something good come, I'm 30 mins from Sanford Maine where they run a few races a year, and 30 minutes north of me is where they race also..... So 2015 is going to be the year I actually stop running all by my lonesome :) Wondering which boats here have been most competitive/reliable for you also... I need a couple raceboats on top of my smaller DF mono as all my other boats are not exactly raceboats.

Guess I been slackin'. I'll bring the motor along with me this Sunday (if it's weather fit for being there).Originally posted by flraptor07 View PostBill, I'll deffinetly take the 1530 I got a hull to put it in now! I'll do some measuring tonight and see how big of a container it will require and try to get a freight quote together tomorrow at work. On something like the 47 weight isn't as much an issue as dimensions when it comes to shipping.Originally posted by JMSCARD View PostHey Bill! I's like to say the SC is a killer race boat but I can't. It was really fast back when I had the Castle 1717 in it but it would barely make 6 laps on our offshore course. It was probably the fastest Q boat in our club at the time but there was no way it could survive a NAMBA 4 minute offshore run. I re-motored it with the Neu 1527/1Y and run times improved but lost a lot of speed in the process. Never did find the right combination of prop for it.
My Avenger cat (not for sale) rivals the speed the SC when it had the 1717 and gets really good run times considering it's a twin and only carrying 1 5000 MA pack per motor to stay in the 10000 MA max limit. I've checked and it will do at least a 3 minute heat and still come back to shore under it's own power.

OUCH! I'm thinking shipping on the 47" mono could prove to be a deal breaker. Allowing for 3" cushion on all sides it's $115.00 for UPS ground shipping even with our good rates where I work. If I cut it down to a 2" padding level it drops to $60.00
