40" mono Local sale in On tario Canada for P/U or meet up.

Looking to sell my 40" mono. Ran it in Q-mono and Q-Offshore at the NAts this year and I got 3rd place in both.

Comes with all hardware, speedmaster 1/4" stinger strut, HOR SSS motor mount, 56mm x 84mm HOR SSS 1200kv motor, HOR Aluminum switch mount for wired Rx switch included. A 5 cell 2200Mah Nihm Rx pack is included. Flex is 1/4" Hughey cable. It has a functional oiler I use in combination with grease in summer and I just used grease on cold days. Also comes with HK 1/5th scale servo.

Hull is a Promise hobby hull that was a Carbon Kevlar layup. I added extra carbon Kevlar inlay as it was pretty thin. There are some filled holes in the port side when I moved the water outlets and some voids in the layup have been filled but, not so pretty. The bottom of the hull was worked/ Blueprinted you could say so it runs very well. The battery tray is 4mm thick pure carbon fiber plate with battery straps. There is a second Aluminum switch mount on it I will leave or remove at your discretion. It was for the SF240 esc Not included.

Top hatch has been severely worked over in order to sit flat as from factory it was extremely warped and almost impossible to tape down. Is has stress cracks but, that had to happen in order for it to be flat so cowl locks could be used and the cowl has a pair of 1/8" thick tabs in front so the hatch will not come off. I still use tape to seal it. Cowl has around 3 extra layers of C/F or C/Kevlar added it's tough!

You will need a SF240 or similar, batteries and radio. I ran a pair of 5000Mah Dinogy 6S packs.

Boat runs well on a x648 for 4 minutes + in offshore with said above packs and for 6 lap races you can use a D/T x452 up to an X455.

ALL this for $250 OBO US funds by Paypal pick up only or we meet up 1/2 way. I'm in Milton Ontario.

Reason for selling: Too big and heavy for a guy in a wheelchair to handle anymore. I'll miss her now that she is running nice.

    More pictures.

Cut outs in the hull for the aluminum hatch tabs are backed with hardwood and are sealed from water leaks with MAS Epoxy. Only MAS epoxy was used in the entire build.

Weekly bump price drop. Nice running boat, just not the prettiest up close. Gets you to the podium, lots of potential for SAW running too.

No way to ship to Vermont Ray? I've found that I like running boats I don't feel bad about running these days, I've gone away from just looking at them and being scared to run them... the cosmetics mean very little to me as long as she runs out well and being yours I'm sure it does!

                  Well... I'll look into it.

I don't have much more left for boxing material etc... Shipping would be in the $70 range but, that's a guess...

I'll get back to you, root canal today, joy oh bliss...

Sounds good Ray.... wow sounds like even at work I'm having a better day then you...

take your time letting me know.... I know what you mean on packing supplies..... I try to save mine to re-use, and even scrounge around the parts dept at work for it if... that is if I ever think of it.... when I end up hitting wally world to buy it @ $14.95 for bubble wrap, $10.00 in boxes, $5.00 in packing tape... I always cringe as the supplies cost as much as the shipping... and the buyer always assumes that is free....

Glad to see you still around on here Ray, and Hope the Root canal doesn't hurt to bad!!!!

oh and Ray, any reason why a T180 couldn't be used on this? External Bec used of course.... just wondering what you think you're pulling for amps... I already have a bunch of matching 6s heli packs sitting around of between 3300-4000mah so hence why this would make myself a good sport boat... even better if I could use a spare t180 (has cap bank) I have sitting around!

Not worth the chance of having issues with customs. Retracting offer as I have not heard anything sorry

Sorry, I'm not in any big rush to sell. Sunday I should have help and time to dig out some old boat boxes to see if it's shippable.

Sorry sir. You should know that emails are not working for posts. The forum has had some difficulties.

That said It's not like I don't want to sell it. The problem lies in shipping and materials, acquiring them and checking weight and dimension for shipping. Shipping such a large boat to USA from Canada can cost up to $100 or more depending on what service is used.
As you may or may not have noticed, the title clearly states that the sale is originally for local pickup. Only after Jason inquired did I think well, maybe I'll sell it to someone in the USA. As soon as I get an idea of shipping to USA, I will let you know.

I apologize for not responding sooner. Lets see if I can reach that box myself without getting an avalanche of other stuff on me, lol...

As of this time I still have not gotten an email showing your interest in my boat. Thank you and I'll get back asap.
