Joe,

Opto-Isolated means that the control circuits and the power circuits are isolated from one another via some kind of optical circuit. These ESCs do not have a BEC, and must use an RX pack...

Put another way... they are the ones to have if you want to avoid glitches with brushed motors!

Go for the 6-14 Opto if you intend on using them with 4S Lipos...
