You want Fast Cheap and Out of Control? Most race-ready SSSH boats run around $250 ready to race, 100% new parts. Some have put them on the water as cheap as $100, but there is a bit more building in the real cheap ones (BBY Micro Hydro for example) - $30 hull, $27 for motor & ESC, $10 for battery, $50 for hardware, another $50 for props, shafts, bearings, fasteners, and such; add servo and Rx, and you are ready to rock and roll. Should be no problem to get it on the water for under $200 with all-new parts.
