I sold him this TS-2 Project I was working on.... It's basically a fairly fresh hull that I started modding to modify the sponson angles at the ride surface.... The angles are there... Tom just needs to epoxy on some 1/16th ride-pads and blend them in... The price was right for a project for Tom, and I definately have one too many sitting around here... so I'll let him finish it!

Here are a couple more showing the modifications thus far... Stock ride-pads are about 12-degrees... These are increased to 16-degrees... which is closer to where the faster hulls run theirs...

Yes the price was excellent THANKS again:D. I am shopping for HW, controle systems & am going to send an email off for an outboard mount tomorrow. I like the system from Oval Express. For 20 bucks it's really nice. I will probable settle on a REK lower unit.

What exactly was done there In the pics of the steps/ride pads? Where they flatened out?

I think he added a bit more angle to the ride pads. he said he went from 12 degrees to 16 degrees.

anyone have plans for a tunnel boat of this size I would like to build one from scratch???
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

I have been trying to find some plans, but haven't had much luck. I think I may just buy the TS2 hull and work with that.

You can get the plans for several versions of these tunnels from RC Boat Modeler... Look into the plans for the JD (Jerry Dunlap) WOF 28/30 hull... I think they are $19.95 from the RC Boat Modeler site...
