good deal... but macdon, you're using a single ADS400L in your mini v right? Not the 300... Wonder if 2 300's would be a big jump from the 1 400...

I like that the 400L is a 28mm, but the 40amp max might mean I'll need to look at new speed controls too. Already had one of the turnigy/seaking 35's. Oh well. If I went with one of those though, the XL is the same diameter & goes up to a 45amp max. 400less kv, but I'm sure i'd more than make up for it with a slightly larger prop. I'll figure it all out!

Anyhow, I think it's best to discuss this elsewhere. This is in the for-sale forum & the boat is sold.

As such, I started a thread HERE if you guys want to talk some more about it

Its actually a ADS400L (there's also an XL version) - a 2830 size outrunner with water cooling built-in. 3700KV
I am using it in a Joysway offshore warrior mini deep vee - its actually just 15" (17" including the rudder) with a 32mm metal prop - trully insane speeds!

If you plan to use 2 of these motors, better add wings and join the rc plane group! hahaha

Yes! it's a shooter for sure! hahaha! If you decide to get these motors, replace the 3 small screws at the backplate coz they're not made of stainless steel and they rust.

Anyone have suggestions for good 28mm inrunners on 3s? I really don't have a lot of confidence in finding a good cooling solution for those 24mm's
Hope to draw just under 35amps each so I can use a pair of those turnigy/seaking escs.

Will do. Just need to take some pictures of it as it sits to start. I'll link the thread in my signature once it's started like I have for my sv27 and sprintcat.

Might be a slow build like the sprintcat of mine, but I hope to atleast get the holes in the hull and the seams filled & smoothed out soon. Need to figure out motor mounts too. Hobbyking has a twin set of aluminum ones for one of their minicats, might do the trick. Otherwise it'll be an order to kintec for a sheet of carbon fiber & I'll have to cut my own to fit. Need new stuffing tubes of the right size too.
Also wouldn't mind finding cooling jackets for my 24mm inrunners. Fear I'm not going to have much luck there though. I do have aluminum coils from my AQ mini wildcat that'll fit them fine, but doubt they're very efficient in cooling.

Blah, I'm rambling! I'll cover all this in the build thread :)

Received the boat today (wow, fast!) and it looks good. There's just the start of a very small crack in the deck that I'll have to reinforce & then that hole in the hatch to patch, oh, and the relocation of the stuffing tubes. Came just as described & pictured! Should be real quick to be ready for paint.

I'll probably take forever and try to line up and get all the hardware mocked-up before paint though. Motor mounts will be the hardest part I bet. I've got a pair of 24mm inrunners that I'd like to use if I can figure out watercooling for them. I'll try to start a build thread on it when it gets going.

No worries Mike! We all get busy and sometimes forget the things we need to do. Like what I said earlier, I have no hard feelings. I also understand that it's a hassle shipping overseas. I appreciate that you at least considered shipping it to me and you even made an effort of bring it to the post office for a shipping quote. I bought a lot of things from U.S. , Europe and China. So far so good! Everything arrived in good condition. Well, who know's, in the future we still might be able to make a deal on something.

Uh oh, I think I screwed up here somewhere.

Stephen - I thought I sent you a PM about this. I must have closed the window without sending it. While I was taking the boat to the USPS and FedEx store to get actual quotes for shipping(I didn't want to do online, I wanted a real in person firm quote) someone at the post office started telling about all the possible problems with shipping something out of the country, not knowing if it ever gets there, no proof for paypal, yada yada yada. Also shipping was going to be stupid expensive. I had it packed VERY well in a large box since its such a small light weight hull and it was going half way around the world. Then after I got back with the quote, I might have been off by a day or so, I see that now its you wanting to buy and not your friend. Thats when I sent you a PM, or so I thought I did. There was just way too many things that were making me uncomfortable about the thing. And don't take this the wrong way, you may well be the best guy in the world, even far better than me, but I don't know you and you aren't on US soil, and Paypal has one hell of a bad record for screwing over sellers....

I'm sorry if I screwed this up, but I was just kinda getting a bad feeling and its my fault for not making sure you knew where we stood. Even just now I typed half of this out then my boss interrupted me and I forgot about it until I went to close the window
