OK, here are pics of the glassed cowl you asked for.
I sandblasted it on the underside, which did deform it a bit on the flat surfaces. I then glasses it with a couple layers of 4oz glass. Then I forced it onto a spare deck I have for the shovel nose and let it cure there so the shape was right. You will have to trim it and clean it up a bit, but it should work out for you.
