More Free Radios... I will pay the shipping too!

I am hoping to find a known forum member/racer who could distribute these radios to a local group of children/young or just outright low funded hobbyists in their area who are either trying to get into the hobby or are low budget and want to stay in the hobby.....

I would distribute them myself but I am in Vermont and we have very little interest and NO boating/racing clubs

Again I will pay the shipping costs to the US 48 states too... would like them go where they will be put to good use...

    What is here:

1 Team associated AM Radio with Reciever and matching 27mhz crystals.. great shape and has steering D/R too..

1 HPI AM Radio with Reciever...no crystals but in fine shape...

1 Futaba Magnum Junior FM radio with NO reciever but is in VERY good shape and being a junior it has many adjustments for a up and coming racer....

These are going to HUNGARY as well as the Proboat Radio in the other Thread!!

Contact member "befu". I sent him a free radio for some crackerboxes he was building for the boy scouts. There is a thread somewhere under boat building. I'm sure his boys would appreciate them!!

          Hi JMSCARD,

Children in in my local hobby club could use these radios. In fact we're just about to start another series of entry seminar for new children entering the scratch build world of RC modeling. We do this every year shortly after the school-year begins. Elementary school kids.
Please consider. The club would finance the shipping, since we're on the other side of the big pond. If you need more info please let me know.

Sorry its cleared... so are you in New Jersey? If you are in New Jersey I will pay the shipping.... if you are out of the country give me your exact address and we will see what we can do.... I am trying to take on a small cost to make myself feel good.... so even if it is out of country I would pay some portion of it.... kids are kids I don't care what country they are in... I still want them to enjoy RC :)

It's very nice of you! Kids are Kids, as you say. I think the same. THat's why I would be happy to help some more of our kids start in the hobby.
My exact shipping address will go in a PM. It's not public. :)
We are willing to pay for the shipping, or at least part of it if you prefer so. And yes we could put the proboat radio to good use as well.
                    Thanks!

                        THANK YOU!!!!!!!! :)

Send a photo of yourself with the radios so I can show the Kids who's the Best Person in the World!
I already told them nice things about the USA. It's part of my heart too.

                          I'm Hungary!!!

Oh, wait, that is hungry I think!

Actually I have a couple radios left still. I saw this add, but didn't want to jump on it to see if someone else needed them. The fact that you found a good home for them is fantastic.

Thank you for keeping myself and the kids in mind. Maybe next spring I will need some more for the kids. I am still trying to encourage kids to get into building something technical with thier parents. Skills that will help them learn, not just have fun. This last round we did small solar powered boats, turned out cool. No RC, just let it go and see it run.

Hope the kids enjoy them and it starts something bigger.

We're trying to do the same here. Encourage kids on being creative and educate them in doing some scratch build and help them with technical stuff too. Not only computer games and stuff, which is good, but it's not comparable to something you build out of almost nothing and see it run on the water later. I'm sure our kids will appreciate the radios as some of them can't afford to buy one.

BTW: we're not hungry, :) Have what to eat, and Hungarian cuisine is very good.

I am 33 now... when I was 10 I started racing 1/10 scale carpet pan cars, and constantly tinkered day and night on my RC's.... when I went to college I "tested out" of all my math pre requisites... made my schedule nice and free for .... anyway I have always said that R/C gave me the problem solving skills that put me ahead of the game (only in some ways... the misses still says I have alot to learn!!)..... funny how if a kid needs to find the proper pinion/spur combination to give him the right rollout ratio given a certain diameter "trued" tire.... he can do it...., but if the teacher asks him to do a silly long division problem he lets his mind wander to something else that interests him more.....

I don't have any children yet.... heck I have a hard enough time taking care of my dog and I...lol...... but I can tell you that R/C will be a part of his/her life in one form or another...... it would be really hard for them to avoid it in my house thats for sure!!!
