This is a Aveox 1817/2y motor. I used it in a 43" Mhz Nomad XL. I ran it on 8s lipo, and 30 cells. The boat ran over 47MPH on a FDM trans with a 1.25:1 overdrive and a x457 prop. Motor was warm. Not hot. Nice stuff.
It's a beast. Lots of low end for a big prop and a big hull. Aveox motors are no longer made, although steve neu of neu motors can and does repair them if you have an issue. Motor runs excellent. Last time I ran it, I burned the ESC so the motor smells a little....But thats it and its not bad at all. You have to put your jose on it to smell it. Just being honest. and it's clean. Runs excellent. Its also sensored or Sensorless. Runs eitherway, I ran it sensorless.
Big, fast, powerful. Cheap. That says it all. Chris fine has one new on his website and it's a steal at 375$.
