Miss Elam Bare Hull + Motor + Hardware

This thing has been sitting on my shelf in the "to be done" group for awhile and I've come to the realization I'll never find the time to finish it...and I want a UL-1 since thats what all my buddies have.

I bought this bare nitro hull to convert to FE using the Align 1650KV motor, but just never got around to it.

The boat is in new condition.
The hardware included is still new in the bag. Its not everything you need for the conversion, but most of the stuff is there. The motor mount was used on something else but I figured I'd throw that in to the package as well. Included is the motor mount, turn fin, rudder, prop shaft, and strut.
The motor has been used on other projects, but still spins great and has a ton of power. I am also going to include a set of magnets that I pulled from a motor someone gave me(its sitting on the bench and I no longer have use for it)

    NO LONGER FOR SALE :)

Pardon the cluttered work bench...I've been too busy boating to clean it :)

what is the battery needed for that motor? prop size and approx amp draw? do you have a speed guesstimate? i hope i dont sound stupid! i never ran a outrunner before. what are the extra magnets for?i have a hydro on a 9xl that rocks and would entertain the thought of another one./greenblast

You could run the motor on 4S-6S depending on how you want to run it. My buddy has one that he is running on 6S with the Hydra 120. I'm not 100% sure on prop size, but it is pretty fast and SUPER stable. These boats are way more stable than the UL-1 and what not.

The extra magnets are basically me cleaning off my bench in case you ever need them. I had been given one of the 1650KV motors that had a bad bearing and I kinda destroyed in the end of the rotor so I just kept the magnets around in case I ever needed them.

I'll try to get a prop size when I see my buddy tomorrow or if he gets online tonight.

Also there is a guy on this forum that did the conversion on his Elam and it looked pretty good. Its actually in the video's forum. I'll dig up the link...

That is the Link to the video of his boat running.

Here is another build thread of a guy who got his up to 60mph on an X442, proboat 1500KV motor and 6S. You need to go towards the bottom of the first page to see the Elam part. Here is his vid too.

You don't know how bad I want this hull - had to sell above beast. Absolutely gorgeous - wanna trade? Rio EP fiberglassed and revamped hull/hardware or minicat hydro RTR?

Jesse definatley interested in the minicat hydro.... If I don't get a cash money offer we will have to go that route. I wanna get some cash so I can buy a UL-1 off of someone I know locally.

They are pretty sweet rides when done thats for sure :)

                    Mel...where is "BN"?

Jesse we may be on to something. I'll sell him the motor for 150, then trade you the hull for your hydro and I can still get my UL1....win win win right? lol j/k. We may have something going here though.
