yeah what big papa said..... if I buy the elam jeff wholt is selling for a buddy I'm gonna need one of these!... and the cooler for it... does it accept a neu cooler?

Possibly the same company who built the Castle motors, who now are building their own

Who knows. Its a very tangled web in China. From the looks of them, they are direct copies.

They would but I think I want to do a twin cat, because a Hydro is more right turn only..
but I really want the twin Hydro because I don't think anyone has done this yet

Straight from Patrick at Castle:

Saw these guys in a Chinese model show about a year ago. It's a clone, but uses cheaper components. There are several Castle/Neu clones on the market right now, but none are nearly as good quality -- most use .35mm laminations, where the Castle/Neu uses .2mm laminations, and every one we've seen so far uses inferior bearings, and inferior magnets. These are the most expensive parts of the motor -- and are the most often "skimped" components.

Just going from a .35mm lamination to a .2mm lamination more than doubles the cost of the stator -- but the performance difference at high RPM is extreme...

So you get what you pay for.

Actually there some obvious exterior differences but I dont want to beat on Blints post as he has this for sale ad and its not fair to make these comments here. He should be given the chance to sell his wares and not have us talk it about using comparision.

Maybe a new comment on the Leopard motor thread would be better for all concerned.
