I agree with you on the strength. In the build thread I believe it is mentioned about wanting it stronger. Most plastic boats have a double bottom, the outer hull and a inner reinforcement to give strength and mount components. Well, I am not a production builder and everybody seems to want to do something different. I did get a .040 to turn out pretty nice last week, but the .060 is a bit harder to work with. The deck is also .040, maybe I will try to do a .060 deck and help that some.
Rough up the plastic and laminate in some carbon. I was thinking along the line of carbon tissue. It will form into the corners really well and add some stiffness.
Were you looking to do a single or twin?
