this is a used hydra 240 hv around 12 runs it i put on an extra set of wires that go to a etti 5000uf cap boad it seems to work good it never got over 100 f temp 320.00 shiped to lower 48 with etti cap board the board has 5.5 mm plugs on it so it can be taken off

What does the Cap board do? I am going to run 10s in a 44" aeromarine cat with a 4035/800kv scorpion outrunner... I am gonna try both 10s1p and 10s2p.... will I have to modify this speedo to work...?

No You will not have to mod it it will work great for what you want

the extra caps store energy when you on and off the throttle it helps keep the speedo cooler you. Probably don't need them for your setup but you have plenty of room in a 44" cat so you may as well use them

I'm glad I got this other one with the cap board and already ran as I am a newbie at this higher voltage stuff and the cap board is a little over my head.... Also the castle hv240 are known to be a little hit or miss.... So I feel good that this one has already been proven good and not a doa:)

Got the speedo yesterday.... If it got here any quicker I would have sworn he lived next door and put it in my mailbox! I haven't tested it but with this guys reputation I don't even feel like I need too! Thanks again mike! And I'm keeping an eye on your auctions for sure, if you're selling something that works for me I'm buyin! Hope you make your way back to the sport in the future..
