When I need a small piece of laminate (birch core) to use as a transom doubler, I get my small pieces here (usually 1/8" thick) for $5.00

I used some for the H&M Micro Kat transom, I have some for the Stretch renegade Turn fin bracket.

I just need straight CF Danny. The strut for my rigger has a small footprint where it mounts to the transom and I want some CF so the strut doesnt sink into the wood and possibly get misaligned. I read G-10 Garolite is popular for this purpose but I think the CF would look nicer. I don't want anything too thick because it would push the strut too far back past the ski.

I'll go in half for some of this.

          2mm thick - 6" x 6" for $28

Thats a 6" x 3" piece for each of us for $14 each.

I could do that. Matte is all I need and is a little cheaper but if you want gloss, I would go for that.

Actually I just measured it and it came out as 0.3" which is... about 0.75 mm. It is quite rigid though and ought to be pretty sturdy.
