how well did this motor push those two boats?

It did very well actually. Never gps'd either setup, but the power from theses big boys is awesome! It spun a x548 without issue in the sprintcat.

thinking of getting a 580l for a h&m 34"supercat would this motor do well on 4s or is it better for 5/6s what voltage did you use in your boats

I ran it in a 34" sprintcat on 5s and it was super fast! I'm sure it would do quite well on 4s too. I never ran it on 6s, that would be getting into SAW territory.

What kind of amps do these things draw? (I mean compared to an 11XL?)

I have been told they are not that bad on Amp draw...much less than a NEU 1527.

Anybody know what timing and PWM should be on this motor?

Since it is 2 pole, i ran 0 degrees timing. Not sure on the amp draw. I ran it in my 34" sprintcat on 5s, with a 180 seaking. The speedo didn't hardly get warm after a 3min or so run.
